Games@lemmy.world•Oiligarchy: Play as an Oil Oligarch that puts profit above all else, fund coups in other countries, assassinate protestors, and fund political parties to ensure they remain under your bootEnglish
18·11 months agoI played this game in 2008 and even used it in an AP English class as examples of rhetoric. I tried looking for it not 3 months ago and I swear the Internet had never heard of it before. I’d love to own it on steam instead of playing it in a website
Coincidentally, this is what git is short for.
Source: “git” can mean anything, depending on your mood.

I don’t think of GitLab as super centralized (compared to GitHub) because you can run your own instance. Communication between GitLab instances would be huge
We’re getting ActivityPub support before first party SaaS/hosted GitLab on a custom domain 😭

Outer Wilds@lemmy.world•The Outer Wilds soundtrack on vinyl has gone from "sold out" to "coming soon"English
1·2 years agoI didn’t look very hard but was also surprised by no clear and easy way to be notified. There’s a heart next to the coming soon button but it doesn’t respond to me tapping it, and there’s a preorder page but Outer Wilds isn’t listed.
I hate subscribing to general marketing emails but I found on their Twitter it’s happening on Thursday at 9am Pacific
I was so eager to launch that I failed to appreciate how much there was to do on Timber Hearth. As with so many of the planets, extra content was hidden in plain sight too. I really appreciated how there weren’t any tricks, you just had to reassess your assumptions about viable places to explore
Every few months when I’d check for any word of anything on RoR2 the internet always said that all efforts were focused on Risk of Rain Returns. So to hear they’re also working on more content for 2 is a welcome surprise

I find the mobile web version to be better because it’s an afterthought product. They don’t push half the crap that the flagship products have, like the desktop site or mobile app version
