  • Idk what the agenda is but it’s pretty telling about the quality of this community that people are not seeing the AI patterns and downvoting you as hell.

I also use AI to write a lot of stuff and most of my code is AI written by now, I stare at AI responses the entire day and this is definitely mostly AI written. Which would be fine, but lying about it is the weird part.

Not that I ever cloned any random repo from some random ass project anyone was posting here but seeing this the LLM might as well go back farm for Reddit user data, I don’t think people are smarter here lol

  • Not gonna happen. The EU has a joint GDP as large as China but Europe is stuck in nationalism and not getting over its imperialist past in terms of mindset.

IMO all kids in the EU would need to learn native level English from kindergarten on next to their native tongue and English would need to become an official language next to the local language if applicable in all EU countries.

And then all administrative matters and everything would need to be bilingual. Then Europe could use its immense cultural heritage, history in unionizing, strong labor laws and social security networks (that should become EU wide) to attract skilled people.

But for that people would have to get over the idea that they are somehow superior to other cultures, which is not gonna happen, so an Indian software engineer will rather go somewhere else than e.g. Germany because they don’t want to be treated like shit.

  • If someone’s starting point is that the earth is 6000 years old then sure, this is irrational in a sense that it’s not something very likely to be true given our current scientific knowledge.

But in general, I don’t think it’s irrational or more like anti-science to believe in God per se. If your starting point is that the big bang theory is plausible but we don’t know what was before currently, then the question of God and religion is simply: do I think there was just nothing and a singularity has caused this or do I think it is really true or more plausible that there’s a being that created all this or is the origin of this.

At that point you can have interesting philosophical discussions and I don’t think it’s a sign of anything to have beliefs about something that we can currently only speculate about anyway.
