it’s more work than using sqlite inside of the application’s container though.

10·7 months agois it possible to use sqlite as db engine? I’d like to avoid running yet another postgres container.

2·8 months agohow does that work? pull an ordinary espresso, put ice cubes in and steam it with the steam wand of your machine?

Coffee@lemmy.world•I have installed the GaggiMate mod in my Gaggia Classic
12·8 months agoexactly that’s the whole point of the mod. GaggiMate adds PID temperature control and a pressure transducer (“Pro” version only). The devs are actively working on the software and are releasing updates pretty much every week.
wait what, you can get a GlaDOS voice pack for TTS engines? damn. i guess there goes my afternoon. thanks for the hint 😁
They are doing maintenance and updating the game. It’s supposed to take a couple hours.

<@&1071181702925389924> Maintenance is planned to start <t:1738159200:R> or a few minutes after. Load your steps into the game if you want them to count! We expect no steps to survive the update until you login on the other side.
As a reminder, we’re expecting a longer maintenance this time around. The devblog stated to expect 5-6 hours at minimum, but let’s see what the team can do today 🙂

homeassistant@lemmy.world•Presence Detection for a Child with no Phone.English
1·2 years agoIf you really just want to know if the kid (or better, the ble tag) is at home, then no - I’d probably use any other ble beacon (iBeacons are cheap on Ali)
Afaik, Tile tags work somewhat like AirTags and are trackable wherever they are. If you want/need more precise location information then I’d stick to Tile.

111·2 years agoAre you comfortable with flashing microcontrollers? https://esphome.io/components/bluetooth_proxy.html might be a solution to your BLE beacon idea. buy any esp32 board for like 5$, put it somewhere in your living room or wherever makes sense and have it proxy BLE scans to HomeAssistant.
I’m on Z2M, mostly because it supports more devices I’d like to use. If ZHA supports everything you have or might want to get in the future, I don’t see a reason to switch.
