PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•NVIDIA Reportedly Ends GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Production, RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB NextEnglish
1·12 hours agoLots of modern igpus are scary fast. Like first gen iris xe was not bad. Same with latest gen Vega 8. Mind you this was 5 years ago. Most of the current handhelds that aren’t the steamdeck are full apus with much better hardware.
For context, I played cp2077 on an igpu.

Cooking @lemmy.world•What condiments do you add to your breakfast sandwiches?
2·21 hours agoSo specifically buffalo? Franks Nashville hot wing sauce isn’t that spicy imo. I haven’t really tried any of their other flavors.

Cooking @lemmy.world•What condiments do you add to your breakfast sandwiches?
2·21 hours agoHot sauce. Rn I have Louisiana brand hot sauce bc it was cheap. I happen to like it. I do the same thing but only one slice of cheese. Also what wing sauce do you buy? I like the Nashville hot. My sister will buy buffalo.
I also like Spyce green habanero hot sauce.

2·1 day agoI really need to get a new display replacement for my old vaio f series laptop. The screen layers are doing the funny vinegar thing. That and some sort of ssd. Maybe a USB Dom or some msata thing with a converter board.
I’m a liar that lies. It’s moving to Android now. But for the past 15 years it was Linux. Mainly Gentoo.
It runs Gentoo and can also.run Linux apps through its debian sandbox. It’s unfortunately linux

3·5 days agoI know macs are a little more different than normal arm CPUs with page size etc. Don’t you need fex or box64?
I think the original one was azur lane
The latest fairphone supports all of the TMobile 4g LTE bands and n2, n41, and n71 on 5g. Mmwave is not a thing on the fairphone.
The new Jolla phone is unknown on that support. Hopefully it’s about as good as fairphone.
That said, if you buy it through Murena it should just work and be activatable like any normal Android phone. Also holy shit it’s expensive through Murena.

Technology@lemmy.world•What are your technology mispredictions?English
2·9 days agoQuite a few phones have desktop modes now, and they work alright. I wish my phone had it. My iphone 16 supports USB dp alt mode but only a direct mirror.

Technology@lemmy.world•What are your technology mispredictions?English
4·9 days agoThere’s a few Android phones that have it, old and new. I have an iPhone 16 at the moment and while it works with a dp-alt mode dock, it only mirrors the screen and nothing else. I think there’s some things you can do to trick the phone into enabling stage manager and other ipad features.
A Wii u might be better than a Wii. It was pretty underpowered from day 1 and that thing has no hardware video decode. The wiiu has hardware video decode for h264 video.

3·12 days agoIf the cdn limits download speeds, it can be quite a bit faster. Like I have gigabit speeds at my library. Its faster to torrent the os and download it from my seedbox than it is to do a direct download.

Cooking @lemmy.world•Turning a Rotisserie Chicken Into 3 Easy Meals
2·12 days agoI can still cook. I worked 11-7, but had a 2 hr commute by bus. 1 hr if I was lucky and all the buses lined up. My sister worked 12 hr shifts at a hospital but she’d work extra due to patient issues so more like 14 hrs some days.
Like I said, I’d make an effort and usually I was fine. Id prep food on the weekend ahead of time.
