3·8 days agoWhy do the anglos always have exceptions for exceptions? The sheriff of this, the city of that, the tiny island that isn’t part of the country.

Europe@feddit.org•Germany's rail service dealt major blow by governmentEnglish
3·8 days agoIt’s infuriating that the whole EU had to drop pants to Trump last year just so Germany could sell more cars to the US.
And this year we’re dropping the pants even more so Germany can sell more cars in South America.
Meanwhile companies in the smaller EU countries absolutely can’t compete with non-auto giants from the American continent.

No need for a 3rd party alternative for EU politicians.
And it’s compatible with the spainsh Bizum and the Italian Bancomat. All you need is a phone number.

30·24 days agoHe also believed a phone or a computer should cost months of an average salary.
And don’t forget about littering the world with planned obsolescence of millions of electronic equipments yearly.
All the harm he did to himself is just a drop in the ocean compared the the cult he created of people willing to pay literally anything for the crap he sold.

2·4 months agoNo. Those portuguese banks failed in different years because of internal corruption. It had nothing to do to the failed investment assets that caused the subprime crisis. The Icelandic banks failed because they invested heavily in toxic assets.

Buy European@feddit.uk•The digital euro has enraged half of Brussels. Here’s what you need to know.English
51·4 months agoFrom what I’ve read in other news, the digital euro wallet will have a hard limit on the amount you can store in it, something like 1000 euros for example. Also, it needs to be linked to a physical euro bank account. Those features combined prevent fraud and speculation. It’s mostly to be used as an online payment method to circumvent the Visa/Mastercard american payment duopoly.
