Baldur's Gate 3@lemmy.world•You're somehow making me less socialist, Gale.
19·2 years agoI told him no, because I thought I needed to sell everything for money. He rage quit and then I realized I didn’t need money for anything ever.
Only problem is remembering to keep it updated.

News@lemmy.world•Genetics firm 23andMe says user data stolen in credential stuffing attack
80·2 years agohttps://owasp.org/www-community/attacks/Credential_stuffing
Credential stuffing is the automated injection of stolen username and password pairs (“credentials”) in to website login forms, in order to fraudulently gain access to user accounts.
Since many users will re-use the same password and username/email, when those credentials are exposed (by a database breach or phishing attack, for example) submitting those sets of stolen credentials into dozens or hundreds of other sites can allow an attacker to compromise those accounts too.
Website says only 120 calories, I always thought those iced drinks were way more.
I totally thought it had garlic in it, too.

811·2 years agoIf people aren’t forced to work to live then how can I get cheap labor for my shitty business that my dad gave me?
They really did a good job ensuring that you won’t totally screw up based on your choices. So just roll with it.
No, the number of grants you get determines whether you get tenure / raises. So the government tells everyone what research ideas they will fund and everyone has to do as many of those as possible.

Uplifting News@lemmy.world•Exercise-Induced Hormone Irisin May Reduce Alzheimer’s Disease Plaque and Tangle Pathology in the Brain, suggesting new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease
3·2 years agoYeah, there are tons of experimental drugs that remove plaques but don’t do shit about Alzheimers, and the drug companies (and NIH) have wasted literally a ton of money on this.

Relationship Advice@lemmy.world•GF and me broke up after 7 years of relationship
5·2 years agoI don’t think it matters what she did. You two have larger problems. She wants to live in the city, you want to live on a farm. This isn’t Green Acres. Either one of you has to change or find someone else.
It’s a fuel cell, it doesn’t “burn” hydrogen.

World News@beehaw.org•Supercut of Mike Lindell's problematic deposition
15·2 years agoIt’s part of his tactics. The calmer you are the crazier it makes the other guy look.
I did the same thing. I was so happy with my destruction until I started realizing who I had killed.

Baldur's Gate 3@lemmy.world•60 hours in as Baldur's Gate 3's nasty Dark Urge and I'm kicking myself for missing a load-bearing early cutscene with unique dialogue for every race and class
2·2 years agoI totally missed Lai’zel, went the wrong way. I’m sure there’s tons more I missed.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why shouldn’t firearm manufacturers be held accountable for the use of their weapons in crimes?
32·2 years agoBecause they have a lot of friends who make laws. So coincidentally, the laws benefit them.
