Just one meteor…

Shit amendment that has done way more harm than will ever do good.

Ah I see, thank you, well I have no showstopping problems with Cinnamon in particular, I would just like a bit more control, Cinnamon’s customization options are a bit slim, although maybe I should just leave well enough alone as I have had few problems and everything seems to be running well. I guess I’ll see when I get into some more demanding tasks.

Humm I’m on LMDE7 now and am happy otherwise but kinda wanna try out KDE before I get toooo cozy because I do really like their apps and Cinnamon doesn’t have a ton of options tbh. MX seems like a good hop maybe.

Sad the world is in the hands of these decrepit old fucks desperate for a legacy.

It’s a conundrum, on one hand you don’t want to let him/everything get to you because that’s the point, on the other hand you don’t want to turn a blind eye to everything going on. None of this is my fault, I told people for years what kind of person he was, is it too self-indulgent now to be a creator for creation’s sake, without a cause or purpose? That would be pretty sad indeed. That said, I think with all of these threats to our humanity, anti-intellectualism, anti-arts, AI, we need creators more than ever. Not “disrupters”, actual creators, with visions, not sci-fi fantasies.

Oh I feel this, I’ve had a really hard time with making music this past year, I’m a pretty vibes based person and the feeling has just been abysmal really, so my mood to engage with and produce music has just been drained, sadly since it’s the thing I enjoy most in the world and spent a great deal of time, energy and money to make happen. It just feels trite when there’s so much pain and suffering going on. Ugh. I’m trying though, and hopefully I can use it as a tool for relaxation and escape as I have in the past.
I was searching for a simple directory player type program so I went through a lot of different music players, I was using foobar and 1by1 on windows, I finally settled on deadbeef, I know the name is not great, but it’s the best player I’ve found, I believe it should suit all your needs as it is highly extensible and modular. Check it out and see how you like it: https://deadbeef.sourceforge.io/

I like a lot of pop music, mostly synth pop, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Hall and Oates, Billy Ocean, Howard Jones, Michael Jackson (yea). I listened to the album, it’s definitely well produced and catchy but I didn’t hear anything new at all, it’s very formulaic, which is fine for pop music of course but she’s definitely not doing anything new or exciting so I don’t get the hype at all. It’s good pop music sure, but filling stadiums? People flying around the world? I dunno. It’s more a cult of personality.

He raided Venezuela before he even had any partners for his oil scheme… I don’t think planning is their strong suit.

Says the folks chasing the ambulance, or rather, running the ambulance off the road.

If only it were so simple. /s
Really dragging the word peace through the mud lately, damn.

Parents big Palahniuk fans?

How they gonna do that? Steal shipments of cars from other countries?

Well easy answer is Taylor Swift, she’s a fine singer but not amazing, samey lyrics, like the McDonald’s of music. Is she a band? Idk. Agree with KISS.

Thank you for the recommendation, I’ll check it out! In my youth I was involved in a program called Indian Guides, it was a bit like boy scouts, except Native American themed. We learned a lot about Native culture and traditions, from the local tribes themselves, and participated in some of their ceremonies, or more likely they were ceremonies for our group but regardless they were very beautiful and grounding. Those experiences as a child had a pretty large influence on me as far as seeking a balance with nature and respecting life, and respecting the Natives themselves and their culture and knowledge.
Two bars… well that’s a thought, screens are so large now and a lot of times that space is just empty anyways, I rarely have anything maximized on my main monitor. Hmmm.
I now remember my main gripe with Cinnamon, it doesn’t remember window positions when turning off monitors, so if I turn off my main monitor first, all the windows will be on the secondary display next time I return to the PC and I have to drag the windows back to where they were. I suppose I’ll just have to remember to turn the secondary off first where I normally only have one or two windows. It looks like there is a Cinnamon spice extension that addresses this but the reviews are not glowing. But yeah, since everything else has been great hardware and software wise, maybe I’ll just deal with it.
