IIRC it did “okay” here too but had a bloated budget and unrealistic expectations because of all the big names involved.

Josie and the Pussycats

I actually agree that the first half was great and there were some solid bones and performances but I don’t think there was a break movie just below the surface of FF. Nothing we have seen or heard from that third act suggests Trank’s cut would have been demonstrably better.
What a cunt.
You should collect them all and get an illustrator. Make a little 50 page ebook. I’d buy it.
I just got a new iPhone. It offers the option during setup, to leave your location on for your designated family. I left the box checked yes because it was the default and I had no strong feelings about it.

It’s a very well-made and emotional film, but I do think you can watch the trailer and accurately gauge your likely tolerance level for it.

They’re event films that you want to see for the spectacle. That’s what they have going for them. They leave the same impression as a fireworks show, which is why everyone goes but no one talks about it afterward.
It was kind of the last in a long line of Universal movies that bombed at the box office and then went on to become cult classics after home video release.
My four favorites, in roughly five year increments:
