I’m a techie and I had to spend a good amount of time reading about how it all works before I felt comfortable joining here. So the average user would probably just give up and use something else.

It’s not even just boys I have old school friends, now in late 20s, who were completely decent young lads sharing his stuff.

Unfortunately I don’t think Tate is the cause, just a symptom. We need to tackle the lack of healthy male empowerment because boys need role models and right now these kind of guys are the ones filling that void.

It’s a great idea having the UK based communities on this instance. But if people on other instances don’t subscribe then other users on that instance won’t be able to find the communities here in their search bar.

I do worry the large instances will end up being where all the communities are and people will just have accounts on the smaller ones
