I save about 20% of my total income, so that I can “splurge” on big purchases that either saves me money in the long run(like good shoes) or makes me happy(like my motorcycle or a nice trip). I understand that this isn’t an option for everyone, but even just 5% adds up over time!

Yes, and if I take vacation days I get pay those days, as well as a small compensation for each day because vacations can cost a bit. It’s some percentage of what my pay per day would be if I didn’t have a fixed monthly salary, roughly the equivalent to like 35$ before taxes. Not like multiple weeklong trips a year, unless I save up some more money… but I’ve got 30 vacation days, so yes, usually one longer during the summer vacation and maybe one or two 2-3 day vacations during autumn and spring :)

Det mesta jag vill ha själv är antingen dyrt, svårt att hitta eller både och… så jag har sagt att jag inte vill ha nåt speciellt av sambon. Dock så tror jag att hon har köpt en pastamaskin till mig, då hon hintat att tänk så hade man en sån. Eller så vill hon ha en själv, men det tror jag inte.

Till mina sju syskonbarn har jag köpt böcker. “småbarnen” får barnböcker. Mamma Mu, Pettson & Findus och Dinosauriegänget. Dom två lite större får Guinness Rekordbok och en med virkmönster. Sambon ska få nya hörlurar, en laddkabel till telefonen, örhängen och boken “109 things to say to shatter the male ego”. Bonussonen får av mig en klistermärkesbok han önskat sig. Sen har sambon köpt lite annat till honom, men det minns jag inte vad det är :D
