They weren’t even trying to arrest him, just search his house.

The government should not be allowed to make a case moot just because it would be inconvenient for them. I’m pretty sure that by the time SCOTUS grants cert, it’s because there’s a genuine legal principle that needs resolving, not just for the individual case. (At least in normal times, current court notwithstanding.)

It won’t be done well.

I’ve never heard that before.
Yes, it’s called a server.
Some NAS devices support being media servers. I’m sure Synology does. That would probably be the least effort to manage.
Or you could build your own and run software you choose: https://github.com/awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted?tab=readme-ov-file#media-streaming---audio-streaming

I have a bidet. I use paper almost every time, honestly.

Tell that to the person I replied to, not me, because they didn’t say anything about talking about piracy.

Whether or not it’s moral or ethical is separate from it being legal, and it’s definitely illegal (in the US).

To have e2ee, you’d have to have compatible software on both ends. But if you’ve got that, why bother with the private pipe to Verizon at all?

My next project is a little more radical - hiding an old pi 3B on the network as an exit node on that network
Holy fucking shit I cannot stress how terrible of an idea this is.

Looks like a problem with the GPU. But that could be the GPU itself, or the PCI bus or something. Try swapping or reseating what you can.

Somehow I feel like “gang leader” and “keeping the public in mind” don’t really go together.

In the heat of their struggle, the Haitian people must strengthen their own mass organizations by setting up organizations of self-determination, trusting only in their own forces, in the perspective of a government of the workers and the oppressed — the only kind that will be able to give a true and definitive solution to the crisis.
That’s very true, but are the Haitian people sufficiently armed and organized against the gangs? The mere fact that the gangs have nearly taken control from the police and government tells me the answer is likely no.

I don’t think you want a full dock, just a USB hub like one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Upgraded-Delivery-Pixelbook-A83460A2/dp/B07ZVKTP53

You can click through to the article in Le Monde, though it’s in French. I assume that article also links to a report somewhere.

We have. Spinning down disks not being accessed has been a thing for decades.
But it’s rarely used, because even if you the user aren’t reading or writing files, all the background systems are still using the disk. And spinning up and down is more west and tear on a drive than constant spinning.

Almost certainly yes, because ag business loves their government subsidies.

That’s assuming that that’s actually happening. The article only gives the IDF’s word, no evidence.
Are these the guys from India and other countries that got promised logistics jobs, and then got sent to the front lines to fight?
