But does this imply licking it in a “lickable” state? I have a hard time imagining licking a gas, and licking hydrogen as a liquid at -250 C or so sounds, not great.

brian@lemmy.mltoHacker News@lemmy.smeargle.fans•Almost no one cares if your site is not on social media
1·2 years agoIt is amusing to see this article on a link aggregator, as it shares many of the same qualities of social media sharing. Especially in regards to actually generating more traffic for something like a blog.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why don't passanger airplanes come with parachutes for people?
5·2 years agoSpecifically about that third point, how long would it take to get into a “livable” range if you were free-falling? Like obviously hypoxia is a legit concern, but are you going to get out of that range quick enough to avoid real complications?
There isn’t anything inherent with an EV to necessitate video/audio recording capabilities.
If you’re concerned about an EV having that ability, you should be equally concerned about traditional vehicles as well.
An app isn’t going to fax the document, though, which is where I’d assume the $12 charge is really coming.
A little pedantic, but the K stands for Key.
I know you said you can’t do your local box, but there’s no necessity for a static IP to do that. Dynamic DNS is relatively easy to set up, I suppose provided you have a domain name you own (which you can find for very reasonable prices).
Agreed. There’s a reason there’s an entire genre of mobile games doing exactly that
It’s a good thing you’re using direct drive. That wouldn’t even fill the bowden on the ender 5.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•People with the nickname AL will likely change their nickname due to how it looks the same as A.I.
7·2 years agoI had the opposite when I was a kid. Playing Nightfire on PS2 with my friend adding in “AL” bots as extra players.
He wasn’t very happy with me explaining that they are A.I.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Putting on your seatbelt and not using your phone while driving is now considered a "challenge"?English
26·2 years agoIt’d be real cool if Wisconsin would issue a challenge for people to not drive drunk. That’d be neat, but I guess they want attainable goals?

I mean, you posted it, and yet you seem to have “hallucinated” them being beheaded, raped, and babies.
