Is this an upcoming feature or is it already live? I’m reading this from PieFed.ca and the URL of this post is https://piefed.ca/post/286158.

My problem with AV1 is that so many people I talk to in real life about it think I’m mispronouncing AVI (Audio Video Interleave), the old container format that was popular in the 90s and early 2000s. I tell them it’s a video codec and they act all surprised like H.264 and H.265 are the only ones in existence.

An old song from the 90s comes to mind.

Are you just curious or will this influence who you support? If it’s the latter, why? (I’m just curious.)

I see two parts to OP’s question in the title. The first part is installing the extensions and the second part is configuring them. Firefox Sync will automatically install your extensions on a new device, but in the extensions that I’ve tested, the extension settings will not carry over.

Do you know an easy way to retrieve link B? As a piefed.ca user viewing a piefed.social post on a lemmy.world community, I see no easy way to retrieve the lemmy.world link. If no easy way exists, then I guess it settles the B vs. C debate.

If it’s Celsius, would this even be a question? Can anything even survive at 100 degrees Celsius?

I love GOG for being a champion of DRM-free games, but this prompt for donations kind of rubs me the wrong way. They’re asking customers to fund their preservation efforts and then pay again for the finished product. This would be better if they followed the crowdfunding model where backers are given rewards. Maybe GOG could announce new (technically old) games they want to preserve, accept crowdfunding and then offer steep discounts (or the actual games) to the backers.

I don’t know. I think it’s actually kind of cute. I like it.
