  • My internal model of OpenAI is that its a shady business. They are in the industry of stealing data and information and transforming it into a service. With all of the drama surrounding their non-profit transition, and the fact that Altman was kicked out for essentially lying; I’m not surprised that figures and numbers leaked and reported to not line up.

Nevertheless, I kinda hope that AI inference continues to get cheaper. Like it or not, a lot of AI companies are offering their services at a discount in a feeble attempt to get a larger share of the market. This incentives them to basically lie about their capabilities, overpromice and under deliver. If the AI bubble we’re to pop it would be nice if the fallout weren’t as bad, and I think lower inference cost would help with that.

Yeah, it’s naive. I’ve left out all the nuance and said something from the bottom of my heart.

I think it’s unfair that the older generation climbed the ladder and pulled it up with them.

I think there’s a lot of reasons why we shouldn’t implement policies that cause housing prices to crash.

I want houses to be affordable and people not to own more than one.
