Instead of attributing an action to a person like “Elon Musk’s Website Used for Generating CSAM” historically they’d use something passive, impersonal and vague like “Vulgar Pictures Are Being Generated On X”, but if you’re relatively informed you read past the phrasing and picture how Musk is accountable. Now journalists can use the active voice so it appears more tangible but pin in on AI to sound neutral and hold nobody accountable, which serves the status quo.

Indie games aren’t made in a vacuum then shipped off to publishers. Publishers help with playtesting, QA, translating, certification, and in many cases even marketing in the middle of development. Even by your definition it’s not as clear cut as you think.

So you would call Half Life 2 and Alyx indie games? But any game published by Devolver Digital like Loop Hero or Gato Roboto aren’t indie despite having tiny budgets and tiny teams?

“Stagflation” is such a dumb portmanteau, when something is neither in inflation or deflation it’s in stagnation. How can something be both stagnant and inflating? I looked it up and it was made up by a conservative to try to explain increase in prices while economic growth is stagnant. But that’s just capitalism working as intended, corporations trying to maximize profit by raising prices and firing workers. That money is not circulating or improving the economy.

Games aren’t developed in a silo, for example XDefiant shares its engine with The Division and probably back-end services with most other Ubisoft games, so releasing its code could expose vulnerabilities to be exploited in games that are still running. They could still be forced to release a closed source server application though.

You can tuck wired headphones under your shirt if it’s a problem, I still do that if I only have wired earbuds on me. Also Bluetooth headphones add a bit of lag which I find noticeable when playing games.
