PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•French President [Emmanuel Macron] publicly congratulates Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, calling the Game of The Year win "a historic first"English
5·2 个月前I mean, the whole point of the game is the storyline. The combat is really mostly secondary to it.
I’m sorry for being a bit of tinkering I made PopOS look good to me it sounds pretty difficult
Yeah that’s exactly what Cloudflare proposed a while back if I’m not mistaken. Not sure if they ever implemented that feature.
I mean I’m not sure if this is AI but I don’t see any signs of it being AI and this type of Minecraft animation (not in game footage) is really common.

2·2 个月前The point of the word is to give more context, so it’s clearer what’s being described. Same with the word user, you could say “Steam has 40m humans”, or you could say users.
Interesting, my experience was the opposite. I tried multiple gnome based distros, but I always hated it. Was ready to try and accept it to use Linux, but then I finally tried KDE and it felt like such a breath of fresh air. Granted, I haven’t used it much yet, but from the little I did, I love it so much more than gnome in every way.
Tried Fedora KDE just recently, and apparently the latest version broke something and you just get a black screen on some laptops, fresh install and all. Found some random ISO someone posted and that one worked, but kinda crazy it’s been over a month that this is known to not work and the official ISO is still borked
Not sure if this is a joke but not even distilled water is gonna save you if you dunk your entire PC in water
Sorry, yes, that’s what I meant to say
Technically no, top is right handed but Minecraft uses left handed. Unity, however, is left handed and uses
zy as up
I’ll leave this here for context (bottom right is the only sane one)

I literally just installed fedora 43 KDE on my laptop, spent like 2 hours trying to get it to boot (would black screen after a fresh install, apparently multiple people have the same issue for months, idk why no official fix has been released, but a community .iso worked for me)
But after that, holy fuck do I love it way more than gnome. I just hated gnome and everything about it, but most poplular distros I tried used it. I finally decided to try KDE and now I wish I did it earlier

Technology@lemmy.zip•New tech pulls lithium from dead batteries cheaper than you can buy itEnglish
72·2 个月前If this truly works, that would be fantastic news, but getting clean lithium out of a used battery that has been degraded and the lithium has become contaminated sounds extremely complicated, so I’m still a bit skepical on the feasibility of it.
Literally the fakest and gayest thing I’ve ever seen, happy people don’t exist and op is a guy
Kids today: We. Are. Literally. Dying. McDonald’s is SO expensive!
It’s not that we olds think you deserve to suffer because we did, but… we did… Kinda hard to entertain modern complaints.
I mean, I’m sad you had to live like that, but that doesn’t mean young people shouldn’t complain either. It’s insane that in the west in the 1990s, let alone in 2025, anyone would be forced to live like that. We have the resources to do better than that, and many countries do, but the US is a broken economic system since the Reagan era.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•This is the type of Q&A that makes the internet so important
1·2 个月前Interesting, didn’t know those details, I’ll try it out with just a bar of soap, but I did find that I enjoy e.g. the feeling of my hair when I use my current shampoo (Head & Shoulders) instead of some others, and I feel like it’d be significantly easier to spread with a liquid shampoo rather than a bar of soap.

The thing is, if only 27% drive in electric mode, that indicates deeper problems. If it was possible for people to easily charge their vehicles, most would use electricity, it’s way cheaper. The fact they aren’t indicates that the infrastructure just isn’t there. Most people don’t live in the suburbs, and I don’t know for other countries but here like 70% of parking is done on the street or on open parking lots. Even in larger garages, I don’t think there’s a single one here with more than a token 4-5 charging stations. We have to first fix that before electric cars become viable for the majority of people. If this bans normal ICE cars but leaves plug-in hybrids I think that’s actually fine, since as infrastructure improves these cars will become more and more like full EVs.
