  • Wim Strauss isn’t a flashy fighter—he’s a granting caster, a support mage who boosts his allies’ strength in battle. His magic keeps the party alive. But when his quiet power starts to overshadow the wrong person, the team’s prideful leader has him unceremoniously kicked out.

Enter his slightly clingy childhood friend Heidemarie, now a member of Nachtlibelle, a renowned A-rank guild counted among the strongest in the land. She offers Wim a chance to join her team—a fresh start among allies who actually value his skills. His magic may not dazzle, but with the right party behind him, he just might prove that the back line was never where he truly belonged.

This is the synopsis of “Book: Magical Buffs: The Support Caster is Stronger Than He Realized!” and I’m already so tired of it after reading just this. Why are publishers always picking up the same stuff they have already 20 times?

  • To me there is just something about good, likable characters going about their daily and mundane lives. It’s like how I thoroughly enjoyed “The Aquatope on White Sand” even though it’s a show about working in an aquarium. Not exactly something I would come up immediately when I think about what an anime should be about.

The same is true here. A cleaning service is not the most heart-pumping of settings but MC is giving her all to her job and I can’t help myself enjoying this a lot more than 90% of the other shows airing this season. I would say give it a try if you liked the PA-Works Working Series.
