  • Stone stadiums banned it. Some restricted it to VIP lots. Some require tickets to the game and you have to wrap it up early.

    The billionaires hate to see a revenue stream missing.

    Also - the players get paid per game. You get a career ending injury, you don’t get paid anymore.

    Also the careers for most players are extremely short, and they need to move around a lot. So they can’t even establish in a city to have a community or goodwill after their extremely short career.

    There’s not even any nationalism. Everyone on that field is doing it for the money, as winners indirectly make more money. The owners as well.

    But because the teams have a City name, the people of the city act like they are representatives. Barely anyone on the team grew up there or has lived there for more than a couple years.
