Agreed, comments like this only function to hurt others that might look similar. Constructive criticism of their actions would be a far more productive and helpful conversation to be had.

There are definitely lines being arbitrarily drawn around AI, and there’s not a sensical flow to what any individual might believe is an acceptable AI use case. Nobody has really sat down and made a full documentation of every modern AI use and weighed the benefits and detriments they have on society. I think many of the outward haters of AI are likely just as ignorant as the blind defenders of it.

I struggle with this every day. I have friends that are far from being the sharpest tool in the shed, but still friends. However they’re so emotionally unintelligent that they’re willing to tear apart any friendship they have over a single difference of opinion… Or by arguing against literal, undeniable facts. These relationships are exhausting to maintain.

Playing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater for the ps1 for the first time since I was a kid. All I can say is I must not have been good at it, this game has a surprisingly high difficulty curve if you want to get all of the points needed for the tapes.

They taught me to write up resume using all the publicly available Harvard documentation on what makes a good resume. Since people started using AI, mine get flagged as AI and I have to dumb them down.
