  • gas station owners had ample time to make, given that the law passed in 2014. Efforts to idle single-walled tanks have in fact been ongoing for decades in California and nationwide. Yet Kim and other gas station franchisees see these construction projects as so expensive and onerous that they aren’t worth pursuing.

wtf is this article for… is this sympathy for people who knew the law changed, refused and accepted they would close… or is this sympathy crap defined to defend gas companies wanting zero laws/rules/regulations.

  • AI is reaching a point where everyone can have a personal super-assistant that helps them forget how to learn and do almost anything. become dependent on us.

Who gets access to that level of intelligence will shape whether AI expands opportunity or reinforces the same divides.

The only ones are those who own the Ai.

People blindy trust ChatGPT for many important and personal tasks for some reason, so as we introduce ads here comes the bullshit, it’s crucial we preserve what makes ChatGPT valuable in the first place until we decide that we need more profit or to control a narrative. That means you need to trust us…Just trust usthat ChatGPT’s responses are driven by what’s objectively useful, never by advertising.

Ads do not influence the answers ChatGPT gives you.

yet…they ruined radio, they ruined tv, they ruined landscapes, they ruined websites, they ruined internet, they ruined physical devices, they ruined reviews…

Given that, we want to be clear about the principles that guide our approach to advertising: all terms, conditions and principals are subject to change at our discretion, at any time, without prior notice to you

and so forth… I honestly hear and read the opposite of what almost any company says. we all know they are full of shit. we all know they lie. then change face within seconds and have zero care for anything but line go up.

  • The mouse cursor should be almost invisible, not draw attention to itself.

Linux solved a problem I didn’t really know I was having. getting old, lose the cursor because old. Wiggle the mouse around and the cursor grows like the grinches heart long enough for me to see it, then it goes back to normal.

ms… they put a white circle which you can’t see if you press some weird ass keyboard combo that may or may not also open edge and attempt to create a ms account (I dunno if this is true, they just suck)
