And it should be easier than doing any genetic engineering on a human genome, because you could create a more simple model for a single celled biome with specific input and output chemicals. The thing is that capitalism is incredibly INEFFICIENT in providing value to society. In a planned economy you could (theoretically) have rational though to maximize benefit for all - in capitalism it’s just grow grow grow. That is why we’re digging so many superfluous ditches.
