I’m reminded of someone posting “who will clean the toilets under communism”. Fuckin’ me. I’ll gladly clean toilets, clean floors, clean buildings and maintain them. I can get paid a living wage and have somewhere to live by just doing that? Holy fuck! A trade I actually enjoy and love that I can get paid decently for?

got your original point, but physical needs are still real. As far as soul fam, i’m looking too. I don’t know how far I can go within my current means, but I’m thinking nearer an arts district may be beneficial.

I lived near two for a while, depending on how old you are it can be isolating or you can meet a lot of new people. I met my current partner near one. The cost of living is high though, which is why I eventually moved away. As for my physical needs, I do have a close-knit group of friends and my partner, but I have a lot of things I miss doing when I had a bit more disposable income. I can’t wait to get back my old acoustic that I had to leave behind for a while, a beautiful rosewood guitar I named Rosa. As for other needs, I make do with what I got and what I can grow/make with my own hands.

Travel is expensive though. So many things in this country could be cheaper.

I work IWW as of recently, used to do more WFP. Had a red card for years and been working with them for a while. I switched over to Working Families for a bit because they had some more direct action (feedings/mutual aid, donation/charity runs) but ended up switching back over to IWW when I got my new job as I had to start being able to afford food instead of garbage-pickin. Other than those two, there isn’t quite any other leftist organizations where I live. Some anarchist cells which some are cool some are not.

I did work for a church for years though doing some really easy, nice-paying part-time work. Then they ended up going belly-up because priests love children. Might end up doing another one before Christmas (mutual aid).

I think my original point was more so having people you knew really closely, either it be friends or family, suddenly stripping down to an uber-hitler. It’s fucking insane how remigration is actually becoming something people are talking about.
