I’ve been using Firefox since it was called Phoenix, just looked and it has been 20 years.

I was once told you rob a delivery man for his pizza not his cash as the police won’t do shit for theft of pizza.
Here is a great recent podcast on this subject. FREAKONOMICS RADIO: Why Is the U.S. So Good at Killing Pedestrians?

Android@lemdro.id•How to stop android phone from reactivating Adaptive Brightness?
6·2 years agoI don’t think there is a way to disable the feature, it sounds like a bug in the Nokia. My only suggestion would to be to use the Tasker app and write an automation that automatically turns off Adaptive Brightness if it is turned on. If the brightness changes when Adaptive Brightness first turns on you could have the task restore the previous brightness also. I know this shouldn’t be needed but it is an option.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•[image] Since many people seem to believe you can't tow with cars, here's roughly what dutch people end up doing on vacation.
191·2 years agoBut will it pull a camper for two that actually sleeps 10 at 85 mph up hill in a 65 mph speed zone?
It was 40 years ago so it would have been newspapers, magazines, or the nightly news.
You can also turn on the top bar in the site settings, not to be confused with profile settings. Hamburger Menu, Gear Icon, turn on Top Bar toggle, then save if there is a save button otherwise refresh page to add the top bar (I think the save button was depreciated)
have any SUV with this type of rearview mirror and honestly IMO it is the best driver assistive technological in a decade, in actual mirror mode I get a small view around 400 x 400 mm but in camera mode I get a full unobstructed view. I get the complaint about VR sickness as I had a few existential crisis’s when the vehicle was new but that issue passes with time and it is only an issue for people who have muscle memory that the rearview is a mirror, as this option becomes more popular younger generations won’t be affected by this.

2·3 years agoI agree, I recently find myself using Squabbles more than kbin due to the fact there are apps available for it.
Is you are looking for a Reddit alternative and are not liking the Fediverse I suggest you try Squabbles

3·3 years agoI really wish MTV still did Celebrity Death Match because I think that is as real as this could get.
Anyone have the numbers of today’s new users for any of the kbin or Lemmy instances?
I agree I think the majority of those who were going to move on have do so already. In time as the Fediverse grows it will pull others in.

I used Mosaic also but I didn’t know of any lineage between it and Phoenix, Firebird, Firefox. Is it related?
