My level of tech - savvyness: 3 in a scale from 1-10. Pardon any errors in terminology
I ran the most recent update and ran into a problem. After restarting it took me to this screen but none of the controls/buttons/dpad worked. I scoured the internet and I could find no solution.
Worked with steam support:

Restarted while holding + volume and it took me to Bios page - but buttons would not work.

Steam support suggested to restart while holding. “…” button and - volume button as this somehow can reset controls - did not work.

Steam support suggested using an external keyboard - I first tried to connect a Blutooth ipad keyboard - did not work.
I bought a 17 dollar Logitech USB wired keyboard, used a USB A to USB C adapter - and Voila!!! It worked.
If you are having this trouble, I think it’s worth it to try a cheap wired keyboard.
