I’ve seen this sort of thing on other FGC communities in the past, so I figured I’d do something for Kbin. It’s been about a month since SF6 came out, so I want to see what people think of the game’s current meta. I’ll leave this poll open for a couple weeks to get as many responses as possible. For calculating results, I’ll use a variant of the head-to-head ranked voting system, which should generate some pretty accurate results of peoples’ general consensuses. I think it’ll be interesting to make this a monthly thing and track people’s opinions over time.
I’m not sure how this is supposed to work. They’re checkboxes, but they’re numbered 1-18 like we’re supposed to rank them in order. My two cents is that the balance is so close that tier lists don’t really matter for this game. A good player will win with the character that speaks to them, and this isn’t Marvel vs. Capcom 2. As a Zangief main, I don’t think Zangief is bad, but I think he has a couple of obviously bad moves that should be made to be good and useful. As it stands, you can be a threatening Zangief using only his good moves.
