At least you can self host it, so you should be able to isolate it from any third party server traffic.

I’m well aware that all my memories of Ragnarok Online are pure nostalgia. Grind grind grind grind grind. My 13yo mind found peace in that, for some reason.
I’d rather set a MUD as a chatroom instead.
Hmmm, I wonder how much work it’d be to create a Quake 3 or UT2004 map that’s essentially “VR Chat, minus VR”
Eh, I played RO again recently, still awesome. They got the grind right, I think. Even though the game felt so old even when it was new, it was always good times.
When I look back at my time spent in RO, and in private servers for RO, I realize how much grind there was that was unavoidable. Part of me still yearns for it…
Ironically I went to FF11 after RO, and its grind sometimes was WALKING for an hour to the destination to grind!
