Then why was DHS allowed to have an account? They clearly violate several of those rules. I’ll tell you why, because bluesy is another profacist tech company.

I have nothing about people learning about the genocide for the Nazis, I children should learn about the genocide in Palestine as soon as possible. My issue is that I don’t want this to be shown in graphic details. Why show a child in fourth grade a stack of 1000 dead a stack of 1000 Jews in a concentration camp? And if Bluesky stops people from posting brutal material, to protect children (and adults) from horrible graphic detail, I’m all for it!

I hear that kids can kill each other in DND using only dice and their imagination, it’s best to not teach them to read! I would simply keep my children in a dimmly lit padded room.

But in all seriousness, I agree with you. In my opinion, hiding your kids from reality doesn’t keep them safe

It just makes them unprepared for the real world

If I had kids I’d teach them what was happening in Gaza and if they were over 13 I’d certainly allow them to view the videos if they so wished.

Sure, I know that children shouldn’t be unsupervised in the Internet. practical? as a parent I know that it is completely unrealistic to keep children away from the Internet. And instead in the possibility to explain children about a horror that are happening in Palestine, or being able to what is happening with ice, is that at the moment, is that under the cover of information free for all, and an anti-censorship movement (by eg horrible right wing people like Musk or Vance), horrible content is made available for all. This leads to a spiral of additional violence.

Australia just banned kids from social media… And we can talk all we want about what is happening, but they say that there’s no proof. Here is your proof, and they censor it.

That’s BS, and you know it. Not showing graphic detail, of people dying, arms being tore off stacks of people that have died in military attacks, isn’t censorship. This is protection of people that are young or immature from graphic violence, this doesn’t mean that you cannot talk about genocide, and tell people how terrible war is, or what is happening in Gaza. And don’t put the responsibility on the parents to then keep his graphic detail away from their children, as a parent I know how hard that is.

Look at this, the adults are being made to feel uncomfortable because the kids are quite rightly disgusted by their complicity with genocide. We’d better take away the right of freedom of expression from people under 18, it’s for their own good.

Last time we had a political party “think about the children”, they ended up in the Epstein files. That sentiment is also what spawned numerous global laws eroding online privacy and promoting censorship not just for children, but for adults.

If you want to shelter your children, then do your job as a parent instead of relying on the government and tech companies to do it for you.

Also implying that people who don’t have kids are not entitled to political opinions is a really classy move.
