    Oof. Who got hit by the massive train delays this morning? Oof. Got in to work 40 minutes late.

    20 minutes after my normal train would arrive is the first train to arrive at my station. It’s not my normal one because it only goes to Milton and I need to go further along that line. But I get it anyway since I figure I can change at Milton, and we were told other lines weren’t affected.

    Well, other lines were affected. Even though the train I got onto said it going to Milton, it terminated at Roma Street, on platform 10 (the long-distance platform). I go across to the normal platform and…there’s no more trains continuing on any time soon.

    So I go looking for the bus stop to take a bus instead. End up out where long-distance coaches are. Then at the platform for local buses going the wrong direction. Then worked out you have to go all the way out of the station onto the street and walk down a hundred metres or so through a construction site to get to the correct bus platform.

    After all that I finally got in 45ish minutes later than normal.

        “signalling issues”. Somewhere between Petrie and Carseldine, I believe.

        Coulda been worse. A coworker was stuck on one of the trains affected and didn’t get in for an hour+ after I did.

          I just read about it on Reddit and the poster was indeed stuck on the train. So really, you were very lucky today so stop yah whining…( Lol, joking mate, it’s not a great start to your day. )

            Complaining about how bad Translink’s communication is, the app, and some loosely related factors, made for some good workplace banter today. So that was a fun plus side.
