EDIT: Are you thinking of the Saudis? There was Saudi investment in Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter. Pretty sure they hate Iran, though, so I don’t think they’d use X/Twitter to suppress this protest movement (does anyone in Iran even use X/Twitter?)
