Hi, It appears that previously uploaded pictures are no longer accessible for some reason. Summit shows 400 bad request error for preview images on URLs on my posted posts. The following is what I see when I pasted the image URL in a web browser. Voyager also shows no media found when browsing my old posts. Example post: https://lemmy.world/post/39186445
If I switch instances I can see the preview image cached by Lemmy World. But, the media itself does not load for some reason.
{“error”:“unknown”,“message”:“Request error: error sending request for url (http://pictrs:8080/image/original/d4954a10-b4c3-49b2-8a59-e60e4030a32c.jpeg): error trying to connect: tcp connect error: Connection refused (os error 111)”}
the URL which i tried: https://reddthat.com/pictrs/image/d4954a10-b4c3-49b2-8a59-e60e4030a32c.jpeg
Yeah – looks like something broke with pictrs. Hopefully Tiff can get it sorted out.
Whoops. I swear I replied to this.
Basically it’s a problem with not enough memory for pictrs and now Lemmy to use. Now that we are moving to a dedicated server it should be a lot more stable. (After next month)
Glad to hear you’ve got a handle on it. Thanks for the update!
