I mean I’d like it if someone published when I make a charitable donation.
But it’s not really newsworthy. Charity is important, but it should be selfless.
I clearly don’t know his intentions but sometimes for celebrities to publicly do something like this is to make other people donate, raise awareness and all.
A lot of people feel inspired and then also donate too. Charities know that and often try to recruit them for that very reason.
I prefer to see the positive possibility in this case.
Good point. It’s a bit of a double edger in that aspect. I don’t think Bean would be the self aggrandizing type.
The news value remains rather low, in my humble opinion.
