Why people who never been to Palestine, never met a Palestinian, never been affected by a Palestinian hate them so much.
Most of them are not even Israeli or Jewish, but they just hate innocent people of Palestine who only want to live their lives in their ancestral home.
They have been watching them suffer for over 70 years with blessing of the entire western world.
I don’t get it!
@faab64 Honestly, it’s easier to make someone hate a person they’ve never met. Actually meeting people tends to humanize them.
@faab64 @[email protected] @[email protected] Propaganda. Western media has been portraying Palestinian people as irrational, bloodthirsty terrorists since at least the 1970s.
It is really unbearable sometimes. The have been watching such horrifying suffering of 2 million innocent people and they still hate the victims, even innocent children, even the new borns.
Liberal and Conservative media outlets alike have been portraying Arabs and Muslims as bloodthirsty savages for generations. The Fox News stuff is obvious and abhorrent but it’s so outlandish its almost comical to anyone with half a working brain cell. But the reason it’s so mainstream and pervasive in the west is largely thanks to the legitimization efforts of liberal mouthpieces like the New York times and the Atlantic, etc. They make it palatable for high society to be able to watch the annihilation of a people and not even flinch.
There is many islamophobic people who think it’s ok for palestinians to die just for being muslims.
Racism and Islamophobia. That’s all it boils down to.
They’ve been told to. It’s one (not so great) thing to form an opinion about a group you’ve had actual, unfavorable interactions with. But it’s quite another to form those opinions about a group you never have and never will come into contact with. That requires external reinforcement, which is plentiful via Fox News (“Fair and Balanced”) and the like.
