I think the matrix.org servers, whilst owned by Matrix, might be actually physically located on the continent. Given the UK鈥檚 determination to kill encryption right now, I wouldn鈥檛 recommend joining an instance hosted there.

I鈥檓 using element X on mobile (android), other apps I tried seemed sluggish!
