the integration of vs code plus the free features of gitlens take me a long way.
Not to nitpick but Visual Studio Code is not FOSS. VS Codium is though.

No worries. More just trying to spread the knowledge because I think a lot of people think it is open source.
I haven’t exactly shopped around but GitExtensions has been great for me.
Sublime Merge but it’s expensive. Still worth it.
