Removed Comment My only comment is that as it specifically applies to medical and surgical interventions (which not all trans people want / need anyway) there does need to be a specific bad thing that is being alleviated to justify the risks of treatment under medical ethics. If there's a possibility of a bad side effect, there has to be a possibility of a worse thing for not doing the treatment. For a doctor to provide estrogen or conduct an invasive surgery they have to be able to say well it was worth the risk of causing a blood clot or an infection or whatever else because it alleviated the reduced quality of life / risk of depression etc. Speaking of which ladies please do not use nicotine while on estrogen I've had a couple patients have strokes at shockingly young ages that way. by ethaver @kbin.earth reason: Concern trolling
