Hm, I've been posting less on my private alt account, I think because I'm less stressed now that school is done. I still want to keep it around and I'm still in love with the idea, but I just dunno what to post about over there when I'm not feeling stressed and anxious.

It takes a lot for me to give up on a computer. When I'm done with them, we put them up on a spike as a warning to the others.

When was the last time you used a website’s “back to top” link or button? I’m realizing I always use built-in OS options (home key on computer, tap the top bar on iOS)

My family's home is up a hill, a 70-meter climb. Very fun on the way to places on my bicycle, not nearly as fun on the way back.

Bought some tempeh this morning to experiment with in my cooking. Costed me RM2 (less than $0.50) for a small block of it.

Just cycled 10km, including a 180m climb up Pearl Hill. Exhausting on the way up but very rewarding on the way back, where I hardly had to touch the pedals.

I got my new glasses!!

If you keep the current feed, that's fine; you'll see only my blog posts. The latter feed is a new aggregated feed that will include all posts to my site, not only in the "Musings" category. For example, I plan to publish weeknotes, starting tomorrow; those will not show up in the Musings-specific feed.

After a lot of thought, I've reconfigured my email system (which is very custom and offline-friendly)…

Previously, it would check my inbox once per minute and sync everything once per hour.

Now, the once-per-minute check is only on weekdays, during "work hours".

I may continue this and further reduce the frequency at which my system checks for email outside of work hours; for now, I think this will do nicely as a starting point.

Any tips/advice/resources out there for learning crochet? I've been knitting for a while but would like to try out crochet for my next project.

Good recommendation on libro.fm—my mom was looking at buying a bunch of audiobooks from Amazon, and I pointed it to her when she realized Amazon wouldn't allow downloading MP3s. She just bought a credit bundle which looks like it'll be cheaper for most of the books she was looking at than through Amazon; she hasn't redeemed them yet (we're about to leave for a party) but it's definitely looking promising.

I did a lot more in 2025 than just graduate college.
