Not really got to the legal system yet. We’ll see how that goes.

We have a police force capable of following evidence they’ve been hit over the head with, at least once the politicians have distanced themselves. It’s something, but I wonder why it’s taken as long as it has.

The cavernous, ancient Westminster Hall, dating to 1097, where the late Queen Elizabeth II lay in state, is resolutely immune to getting any internet or mobile phone reception

That sounds perfect for conducting parliamentary business in. Get them off their phones whilst debating.

Wait until people find out how many films aren’t true at all. Loads of them are totally made up. They spend so much money faking things that never happened. It’s crazy.

I’m not suicidal.

Massage… that’s what I’m meant to get riled up about?

We’re talking about leaking national secrets and predatory sexual actions. BBC needs to get some perspective.

Two points

  1. Living with a knife to your throat is also highly dangerous and exciting. I don’t recommend it.
  2. The tech can’t be un-invented, but it’s still very much up for discussion wether society puts significant resources into the data centres to run this. Regulations on responsible use are also up for discussion.

It’s not a forgone conclusion by any means.

Yea, but it’s growth is limited. People seem incapable of using a platform if there isn’t an algorithm telling them what to look at.

Well that’s going to be a good vector for feeding disinformation to the police.

Bubbles don’t burst for rational reasons. They burst because the lie can’t be held together any more.

It’s that potential energy that gets released when they burn. 9 times more energy equals a bigger woof when it goes.

Neither do they realise….

EVs use lithium-ion batteries with an energy density of around 0.3 kWh/kg. Gasoline, by comparison, has an energy density of roughly 13 kWh/kg. That means ICE vehicles, including diesel cars, store nearly nine times more potential energy than EVs

They’re probably saying the battery is 4x the weight of a fuel tank. Not far off.

Well that’s down to unsafe design. Car locks that don’t open in an emergency has nothing to do with EV or not. All cars have electric locks these days run from the low voltage (12v/24v) battery.

Part of the problem is those fires are significantly harder to put out than other vehicle fires are.

If the battery is actually burning, yes… But that’s not a given. Upholstery burning is still a car fire.

Regardless, there’s a lot fewer fires. The easiest fire to extinguish is one that didn’t happen.

More cars inside buildings which have other sources of fire? I suspect more in Australia are kept outside away from flammable things.

I don’t see how a genocide is nuanced gray area. There is no justification for that.

He’s right so far as “the label doesn’t matter”. What matters is how you stop what’s happening today, because what’s happening today is wrong.

He was arrested for misconduct in a public position, which while it might sound unimpressive suggests something far beyond “trade secrets”.
