Let me not mince words: I really, truly believe you’re doing a shitty job.
I truly wonder how many times someone has said this to her. Betting a lot. A WHOLE lot. Parents, grandparents, friends, teachers, peers, probably even god… right after she shot her own puppy, Cricket, because it didn’t listen to her.
I hate to admit it, but I have checked out a few AI metal bands and what I heard was not that bad musically. I doubt I would part with money for it. I support bands, not computers.
As I’ve been on a big Buckethead kick, one of the things I find I like about Mr. Bucket is the emotion you can hear in his playing. It’s hard to hear in his aggressive styles but when you listen to pikes like ‘Communicating Through The Stars’ and ‘Hold Me Forever’ it’s pretty evident, and it’s beautiful. His song ‘Soothsayer’ can literally make me tear up if I’m not in a great frame of mind. It’s rare to get that in music.
Where I think they go wrong with the AI is the marketing where they try to masquerade it as a real band comprised of real humans. That’s slighting your audience and creating doubt before you even got to a point of creating trust.
On the flipside, I just bought Megadeth’s new album February 9th. The ‘last’ album that was going to (allegedly) cause a renaissance and “smack people upside of their earholes”. I liked tracks 2,3 and 11. The rest of the CD was pretty underwhelming. I’ve already dropped it off in storage. Was disappointed.
From my perspective, humans have ruined more music up to this point than AI has. If you gave me the choice of listening to Pat Boone’s ‘In A Metal Mood’ or anything from AI, I’d take the AI. Holy fukashita is that a new level of bad. He makes you hurt alright. I find it distressing that a person calling himself an ‘audio engineer’ probably said “That was great Pat. Good job.”
It’s a shame he didn’t grab a parachute and lock the controls before bailing out.
For what it’s worth, a friend gave it a thumbs up. I plan on picking it up tomorrow.
He’s probably already remastering it, turning down the band and turning up the dave.
Hey now. We had W in the early 2000’s. Was just as racist as X. Maybe more.
This is not enshittification. This is supply and demand like it’s always been played out with far more demand than there is supply, and no real good supply relief in the foreseeable future. Gonna get way worse as people scalp/panic buy in bulk.
When I got up this morning, It never occurred to me that I would soon be listening and enjoying this, but here we are and I’m glad it did.
I’ve always supported Megadeth. I was not yet into metal when ‘Killing Is My Business’ came out. It would be another 4 years or so. Today, I own the other (16) albums.
All in all, I think that ‘The System Has Failed’ ended up being my favorite album. Runner up goes to ‘Rust In Peace’. It was my introductory album to Megadeth.
My only complaint are his remastered editions where by ‘remastering’ he means, ‘turning up the Dave and turning down the rest of the band’. I want my old copy of ‘Rust In Peace’ back. Take a tip. Don’t buy the remastered. It does not sound as good as the originals.
Noteworthy to mention that this disgusting putrid piece of shit shot her own puppy Cricket in the head intentionally because it wouldn’t listen to her command. Pretty much a repeat of what her ICE boys did to that driver.

Oh, I would so like to peruse this 'test'. Anyone have a copy?
'Trial Of Thunder (5-3)' from the 'Crypt of the Necrodancer' (Metal Soundtrack). I'm not a fan of this type of game and have never played it, but Familyjules totally shreds the original 8-bit soundtrack it had.
I own 'Fear & Hunger', the game pictured atop the article. I play it. I enjoy it. I have nothing to give but accolades for this game. The author was brilliant in the game design and story. Their target audience is a mature adult. The video game plays as a turn based top down survival horror rpg. It's a very minimalistic game in it's world, though it has a lot of unique gameplay programming that elevates it's style above others. The story though.... Wow.
You are simply going to the bottom of the dungeon to kill someone and then leave. That's it. However, It does have very adult oriented... things... peppered into the game. The setting is pretty dreadful, and as you proceed it only gets worse. Eventually, when you think it's hit rock bottom, it finds a brand new shovel. It hits pretty hard too.
If you are an adult that can handle adult and survival horror themes, it's well worth a play and you should buy it immediately. It's a lot of fun, though get you feet set. The game will shock you out of your comfy place, and it will do so multiple times. Not my favorite horror game, but probably in my top 5. Brilliant and violent, both to the extreme.
Hold up, I'm not gay. I just got sick of reddit assholes and I don't particularly care what you all do with your plumbing in your free time.
I only ever wanted a space where I can freely post humorously (and apparently inappropriate) pictures of Helen Kellers' beloved cat 'Mittens'. The search continues it would seem.
