I want to get into 3D printing before it’s outlawed and I’ve been gravitating to Bambu because I’m novice enough that marketing works. Where should I be looking? Price is a consideration but not my first.
The core problem remains that Christianity is so malleable it can take almost any shape needed for any given groups political or identitarian needs.
It has been from the start because Christianity wasn’t developed by one group. It was developed simultaneously by multiple groups with different understandings and traditions, and then gradually coalesced into something like orthodoxy through a bunch of compromise and calling other Christians heretics. Then you’ve got the east/west split reflecting the collapse of empire, and eventually the reformation.
So they are Christians. Christianity is a broken mirror reflecting the last couple thousand years of western civilization, which was fractious.
I did not know that. You have really put a ribbon and a bow on that story for me, thank you.
He also obliterated a bird unlucky enough to cross the path of his fastball on live TV, which is totally unrelated but a fact that needs to live in more people’s minds like it does mine.
Ah my namesake and fellow gandy dancer.
You might be confusing me with someone else.
I don’t know. Still conflicted. Not really of course, but it makes it very annoying.
This must be where you think you said it was a joke. And
So she earned it I guess?
this must be where you think you weren’t implying she had it coming.
But maybe I’m confused. I thought you were here in good faith and trying to understand the reaction you were getting and that’s the only reason I commented. I’m happy to get back to smiling at pictures of cats. Ta.
Haven’t thought of Hey Ash in forever. Thank you.
Do people really not understand that by participating on meta platforms, you are literally handing them money and a captive audience?
If you thought honestly about the stultifyingly obvious answer to this question, you could acknowledge the actual challenge ahead of us.
Not everyone is where you are. People like us who have left the social media and big tech ecosystem are crazy rare right now, and we definitely need way more people to understand and join us in negating the power we’ve given them over ourselves.
Your initial comment implied she basically had it coming because she was a mouthpiece for big tech.
We literally cannot afford to be this sanctimonious. We do not have the numbers.
It isn’t mental gymnastics, and is closer to the opposite. Your comment is nuancephobic. You’re equating someone who is a social media influencer about studying with someone who is literally pushing party propaganda.
It’s not a broad brush it’s a push broom.
Yes influencers are bad.
Yes big tech companies are evil, and an existential threat to our society and humanity
Yes there are influencers that use their platforms to promote the status quo
You seem to be putting that all on her, or at least describing no daylight between her and fucking Jeff Bezos himself.
Read it again through those eyes. You probably don’t actually think that way but that’s what I read and I think that’s what folks are reacting to.
Long pig
We’re still doing warrants?
These are the people who should be our press secretaries
Mind his little fontanelle
Oh I’m spiraling.
This should be NSFW.
OP should know Lemmy skews old enough to be fundamentally broken from this.
