The violence of the German language goes well with a violent sneeze.
I’m sorry that there are jerks on the internet - thanks for making the rest of us laugh anyway :)

I imagine that UI was kind of hard to put together though, since it’s going to be confusing anyway. The UI is meant to allow people to toggle everything off, and add exceptions that they want to leave on. The reverse, however, is not needed: people don’t really want to toggle everything “on”, and then selectively disable things. To top that off, you also want to clarify that, after you toggle things off, new AI features that get added later will also be off automatically.
I imagine especially that latter part influence the “toggle on to block” design - that makes it an “active” setting to proactively disable things in the future.
IDK, I’m not a UI designer, but I see how it’s hard.
Sorry I actually deleted my comment almost straight away after posting it because ironically, I found that actually, I had misread your comment, but apparently it still made its way to you.
Why even post this? For whose benefit? Especially since the author is probably reading along.
Thanks for being today’s explainsmbc.
I think it’s still somewhat experimental, as it’s pretty hard to do given how many shortcuts there are, and some being different in different languages. So not every shortcut you might be interested in might be customisable already. Still bound to be helpful though.
Sounds like KDE is also doing a lot of work that will be helpful on phones, nice!
Didn’t read to me like OP was arguing for a single alternative.
Having leverage doesn’t mean that it doesn’t come at a cost to yourself. Heck, if it didn’t come at a cost, it would probably have happened already. The reason people are focusing so much on Israel’s actions in Gaza, is that they think we should be making that sacrifice now that we have that option, which we don’t have in many other conflicts.
Note also that the call isn’t to use the leverage to pressure Israel into unconditional surrender, but it can be used to pressure them into not committing war crimes, or to stop suppressing Palestinians on the West Bank.
Is trade not one end receiving money? Is it not leverage that we could stop that trade?
I’m not even reading the article, this is such a dumb premise that comes up every time. If Europe was forced to compete as a single nation, we’d have a lot fewer participants. And then there’s just the fact that counting medals is kinda dumb anyway, since some sports have may more medals than others - a country that specialises in ice skating will often be good at many types of it, be it 500m, 1000m, etc.
Heh, are you saying relations with Israel are worse than those with Hamas? And which of those two (note: that’s Israel and Hamas, not “Arab territories") is at the receiving end of most European money?
The main thing about Israel/Palestine is that Europe (and especially the US) has significant leverage over one of the parties, which gives it more responsibility for its transgressions.
Wait, what word? Culture?
Note that I wasn’t talking about European culture specifically, or any specific culture, for that matter. Just that your environment shaped you, and thus you can feel some pride for what that environment also begat. Pride needn’t be reserved for the extreme right.
The culture that made that happen also played a role in making you who you are. It’s OK to be proud of that.
(And likewise, it’s good to correct for how your culture influenced you in ways that you aren’t proud of. For example, it took me a long time to realise what Black Peter must look like from the outside.)
Ads featuring the slogan also occasionally featured men who would accidentally get into risqué positions whilst trying to get a Gaytime.
Heh, I had to look one of those up. Classic.
Well, good to know we weren’t the only ones with the racist names (feels like ages ago, but it wasn’t even that long ago). Schaumkuss makes sense though, they just changed them to the Dutch equivalent of “kuss” here.

If only an AI had come up with this.

Really makes you think.
