No one is illegal on stolen land.

Portland community members have come together to protect their neighbors from forced kidnapping and removal by the Federal Government, in solidarity with Los Angeles and as a response to several community members being illegally detained at asylum hearings in the city. These protestors need YOUR support.

Call and Email your representatives to demand that they BAN ICE from the state of Oregon, and BAN the use of tear gas, chemical agents, rubber bullets, and live ammunition by ICE, PPB, and DHS without exception.

Urge Governor Tina Kotek to NEVER bring the national guard against civilians who are protesting against ICE’s violent kidnappings of our community members.

For city council & mayor:

“My name is [YOUR NAME] from zipcode [YOUR ZIPCODE]. I am calling to bring attention to the extreme brutality and excessive force being used by ICE, PPB, and DHS on peaceful protestors and urge [REPRESENTATIVE’S NAME] to take action. In 2017, Oregon was designated as a Sanctuary State, yet PPB seems to not be made aware. They continue to work with ICE and DHS to terrorize Portland residents and kidnap asylum seekers. Several Portland protestors have been hospitalized for blunt trauma due to rubber bullets, broken bones, and side effects from toxic tear gas and chemical agents – all for wanting to protect their neighbors from getting their families torn apart.

The toxic gases pose a significant environmental and health risk for the surrounding residential area, including a school. As a Portland constituent, I demand that [REPRESENTATIVE’S Name] calls for Portland ICE Facility’s permits to be revoked and for the IMMEDIATE banning of chemical weapons and rubber bullets usage against protestors by PPB. Please protect the health, safety, and future of ALL Portland residents and maintain our sanctuary status.”

ICE has consistently deployed pepper balls, teargas, flashbangs, rubber bullets, and tasers at peaceful protestors fighting against the violent abductions of our community members in at the Portland facility. Tear gas is a prohibited chemical weapon under the 1925 Geneva Protocol, but conveniently legal for law enforcement to use at civilian protests to enforce crowd control. The so called “non-lethal” weapons used against unarmed protestors cause severe and lasting health risks toward people and the environment. ICE, DHS, and PPB repeatedly claim they work in favor of the safety of American citizens, yet the hypocrisy has never been clearer. Several protestors have arrested and hospitalized from blunt trauma from rubber bullets, broken bones, and chemical gas side effects.

We need ICE out of Portland NOW.
