That would be great answer. Make them retract their paper!! Science & revenge, my two favorite things to have in this cruel world :')
Depends on how you want take it… I don’t believe the commenters refer really to people, they might be more like targeting Institutions (e.g. British Museum)… It all depends on the sensibility of the reader (like many arguments on the Internet)

2·12 days agoI don’t like those projects either. Scuttlebut and cjdns looked more “profesional” to my ignorant eyes. I bring these up because I’d like to hear your comments. I will check 10fingers now…
In case anyone wants to try this or any other “natural” drug. The most important fact is to check how far apart is the dose (a.k.a. LD50) that has the desires effect from the dose that’s going to kill you. Most of the recreative drugs have a nice gap in between.
Back from where I come from some teens would prepare an hallcinogenic tea with flowers from Datura plants. Some deaths were reported from time to time…
Of course, this is not considering other risks (health issues aside from death itself, or psychological dependance.)
So… Keep it simple. It’s better to trust your dealer’s products. Omg, wtf is my advise right now…?? Well, I guess “better” is the keyword here.
Since everyone is jumping to a “programming languages war” under the masquerade of ‘Lemmy vs. PieFed’ let me also point out that the people involved on each project is different… Weren’t some of the lemmy devs facist apologists? I don’t want to spread fake news, but this is an accusation I read more than once. Perhaps someone can share the source to these ideas… I havs interestest to know more

I studied biology and one thing I like about ferns is that they have these “dots” under their “leaves” that once mature drops a powder of spores that creates new ferns… Don’t ask me why I like it, I just do. I find it simple and to the point. You can simply leave a pot with earth under a fern and then you will find a baby developing there. Just like magic, and very elegant.
I fail to see the connection between the meme and the community where it was posted. Anyone cares to explain? Ty in adv.
How about putting a cap onto inheritance?
I know. But I can’t find the humor in imagining a pool with fire. Also, in spanish we would say “on” instead of “in” to apply the secons meaning. Or at leas to me that’s how it would really mean that there’s fire at the pool: “la pileta esta en llamas” vs. “hay llamas en la pileta”.
Anyway… I am just an overthinker…
“Cuidado, hay llamas!” … I don’t get it.
The rest of the world may call it friendsgiving and celebrate it anyway ;)

1·2 months agoIf your experience tells you the open source community is less vulnerable to backdoors or something, reconsider that.
I only said that I agreed with you in those words…
Do you think backdoors are the only threat? or the biggest?? in both cases, you’d be wrong. That’s the whole point in this exchange of opinions.

AFAIK, the problem is that we don’t even know with certsinty the shape of the universe. Let alone find out anything outside our own cosmos…
