Boosts are an optional, paid promotional tool designed to increase the exposure of your uploaded content (“User Submissions”).
The upload title and cover art for User Submissions with an applied Boost (the “Boosted Show”) are prominently displayed on relevant pages on the Mixcloud web platform (known as the “Boost Ads”). The location of the Boost Ads (“Genre Pages”) are determined by the tags applied to the User Submission by the uploader.
Boost Ads are allocated a percentage of visitor traffic to relevant Genre Pages. This percentage is calculated by dividing the traffic equally between the total number of active Boost Ads using the same tags.
Visits to the page(s) where the Boost Ad is visible are recorded as “views”. Whether the Boost Ad is clicked on is not taken into account.
User engagement (including but not limited to users playing, favoriting, or sharing) following a view of the Boost Ad is not guaranteed.
Boost Ads are priced per 24-hour period. The Boost fee amount is subject to the period you choose for the Boost Ad to remain active (the “Boost Period”). The rates are posted on our website and you can find more information at https://www.mixcloud.com/boosts/.
You will be billed immediately after selecting your Boost Period and entering your payment details during the checkout flow.
The Account Holder must ensure that we have complete and accurate billing and contact information during checkout, including the full name of the Account Holder, its business address, and a billing contact email address. The Account Holder represents and warrants that he/she (a) has the legal capacity to agree to these Terms & Conditions; and (b) is the credit/debit card holder or he/she has the prior permission of the credit/debit card holder; if either (a) or (b) are not true, Mixcloud reserves the right to terminate The Service permanently at our discretion.
Boosts cannot be cancelled and no refund will be made for any Boost payments already billed and paid. If a Boosted Show is deleted during the Boost Period, the Boost Ad will be withdrawn immediately and no refund will be paid.
IN ADDITION TO THE DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET OUT IN THE GENERAL TERMS OF USE, WE DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATION AS TO THE ENGAGEMENT THAT YOUR BOOSTED SHOWS WILL GENERATE ON THE MIXCLOUD PLATFORM. ANY USER CONTENT THAT YOU UPLOAD ONTO THE MIXCLOUD PLATFORM IS AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE CREATOR. OTHER THAN ENSURING THE COMPLIANCE OF THE CONTENT WITH THE GENERAL TERMS OF USE, WE DO NOT SCREEN THE USER CONTENT IN ANY WAY.
