What's effectively the difference between Bezos having 100 billion dollars versus having just 8 or 9 billion?

To his lifestyle, what he is able to buy for himself - functionally nothing.

But what happens when the unemployment rate is 14% and interest rates are zero? That's the magic formula for them, that's where they can actually do whatever they want to whomever they want.

When Wayfair employees organized and staged a walkout to protest ICE that freaked out every CEO with lots of white collar employees. When female microsoft employees told the press that Bill Gates was a creepy sex pest to them that freaked out every CEO who saw his position as a way to leverage sex.

I suppose it depends on how dumb you think the average person is. I've worked for the outragously rich and successful and it's definitely not their intelligence that got them where they are. Bezos, Musk, Theil, Gates are all successful because they were in the Right Place^tm^ Right Time^tm^ and have a relentless drive to get what they want.

I remember being very confident and optimistic. I had just started college, and nerd shit had just become the dominant force in our culture.

People were joining the internet and connecting via Facebook which I thought would lead to world peace.

Bush was out of office and Obama had won.

The iPhone meant I could use the internet and apps whenever I was.

Everything was becoming higher quality. The fast food restaurants were all remodeled to look like actual buildings. TVs in waiting rooms became all flatscreen, something I associated with the very wealthy.

Every brand was trying to copy apple so everything became a lot more white and clean. Simplified.

I had discovered reddit which felt like cheat codes for knowledge, especially since I was the only person I knew in real life who knew it existed.

It's because nothing Trump is doing scares them as much as:

  • Whites becoming a minority
  • Gender not being a fundamental way of organizing society
  • Random made up things they heard online that they believe to be true

Trump doesn't look so bad if you believe every US city was burned to the ground 6 years ago and had to be rebuilt using taxes from rural america which were collected by black & latino paramilitary troops controlled by the jews.

I don't think the fascists have that capacity. Too many people in the chain of command would give pause. Bombing Iran or Venezuela, pieces of their invisible empire that slipped out of their grasp, is easy - the plans are all ready to go. Canada would be a fresh directive and it would take time to build the consensus that this was actually something the military and state department would go through with.

Let's be honest, the president is deeply unpopular with everyone except the dumbest and most incompetent humans. You have divorced dads who work in automotive and post Ron Paul memes calling him a pedophile protector to his face. You guys are attributing a level of sophistication to trump/the right that they just do not possess.

They want Greenland because it looks big on the map.

They want history books to say "America was at it's height under President Trump when it's territorial size was at it's largest" the same way they do with Trajan and the Roman Empire.
