I don't read German, but I was curious and wanted to let an LLM translate it at least a little. They published a PDF which has full-page images in it. Why? It's utterly perplexing to publish something to the internet that way. It's like having the ability to share a stone tablet, but instead you take a picture of it and put that behind glass with a filter so that it can only be viewed form certain angles.

I asked a question on a forum about why a command wasn't working. They said I didn't have an interpreter installed on my computer and were making fun of me. I showed them that I had one installed and that wasn't the problem, but they continued to talk sarcastically to me without explaining anything. Only one of them suggested...

Ah, you ran into neckbeards. This is a typical interaction with them. They are afraid because they are finally in a position of power digitally whereas in real life, nobody cares about them. Honestly, ask LLMs https://chat.mistral.ai or something else.

I have Linux but am a casual user and my experience with Linux users has been nothing short of terrible. Before LLMs, I had to either find the answer on some *overflow website, the ubuntu forums, or just give up and move on. Now, LLMs help me out more than humans ever did. LLMs don't tell you you're stupid, they don't ridicule your question, they don't ridicule you. Of course they can be dangerous if they give you bad commands, but so can humans.

If you must talk to humans online to get help, what I've seen work is to tell them they are wrong and that your solution works 100%. Some neckbeard will show up, call you stupid, and give the solution. And if that doesn't work, just ridicule them and say it didn't work, which means your solution is the right one. It'll make them try to prove you wrong even harder 🤷

As much as necessary to make the story move forward. If something specific that happened in bed is necessary to further the story, show it. I'd much rather see nudity than someone's brains getting blown out. Nudity and sex can be added in a way that makes movies or TV series worth less without it - they can actually add value to the movie/series.

There's porn out there just jumps right into the fucking and there's porn that tries to build a story yet the acting is downright awful. A good thing in the middle could be amazing, but most of the time, the needle isn't threaded or threaded badly.

When they are hopeless and in wars, people still have kids, but that's if you're uneducated. Education has a huge impact on fertility and you can't provide nothing or little to an educated populace and expect them to have kids.

What is Denmark doing for people that want kids? Is it possible to raise a child on the income of a single person? Is child-care and education free? Is transport free for children until they leave school? Do families get a priority for social housing? Are there third places for children? Is it possible to have a career with a child (work from home, 4 day work week or reduced hours at equal pay, etc.)?

I know somebody in Copenhagen who just got a kid and haven't had the time to talk more in depth with them about this stuff, but they are having an incredibly tough time finding affordable housing with space for children anywhere close to where they work. Most houses on market are expensive for what they are and still need significant investment to get them in a state that doesn't mean paying heating bills out of your ass (their words). They have been looking for a few years now and got a kid first instead of waiting for a house but now things are getting more urgent.

That sounds better than Japan and South Korea, but 680€/month for daycare is nuts! Wtf? That's a very important thing to subsidise. The rest sounds very similar to Germany (again, friends there too), which doesn't have a high birth rate either, so IMO it's obviously not enough.

I'm not going to have children for, among others, monetary reasons as well. There's no way I would work 8 hours, travel 2 hours a day just to work and how much more for the child as it grows, also try to find time for my hobbies, and additionally worry about keeping my head above water in an apartment I don't own and right now 40-50% of my income goes to. If I had a partner, they'd have to get a job too to cover the bills.
We'd both just be surviving and the question is how would we even provide a good environment for the child to thrive if we're struggling.

It wouldn't surprise me if more childless people had similar thoughts on the matter. The government would have to make the experience of having children much more carefree so that parents can spend time with their children without worrying about money.

Mexico, Canada, and Greenland are more likely. NK has Chinese protection, Cuba is of no strategic nor resource value, and Iran... Be the change you want to see in the world. Sometimes it has to be introduced slowly and with compassion, sometimes it has to be radical as it can be urgent. Even in African villages where men are committing suicide, they create safe spaces to talk about their feelings. (I think this is one of the videos on the topic - can't watch it due to age gate).

It's not easy and everybody's path is different. If you can't find somebody locally (friend(s) or therapist), you can start online. It helped me too. But always try and stay critical. Many self-help groups for me are taken over by right-wingers who say "you can be yourself here", make men feel safe and then give them a scapegoat (immigrants, women, whatever) and spread hate towards other groups.

I was very lucky to grow up in the environment and places I did, and recognise that not everybody can be so lucky.
