I ran out of pickles and only ate 14. What is going to happen to me? I’m scared.
Mostly made of meat.

News@lemmy.world•The Economist: Don't go after the rich to fix broken budgets.
291·3 days agoIt’s not as if the rich became rich in a vacuum and then appeared in society. They used society to get rich, and the money came from literally everyone else in that society - everyone who struggles to make ends meet is struggling because the rich are hoarding their share of the money.
It empowers dull people to flood the world with dull sludge, drowning out those with actual talent and a creative spark. Great writers connect things that have never been connected before - Douglas Adams wrote “they hung in the sky in much the same way as bricks don’t”. AI could never create that sentence because it connects things that have never been connected before. AI could come up with a million similies for things in the sky which have all been used before, but never an original one which shouldn’t work, but does.

My favourite one is when some clueless dipshit shouts it out of their window when it’s a footpath not a cycle path, and cycling on it would be illegal.
In the UK it’s entirely up to the cyclist whether they want to use the cycle lane or not. Good job too, as many of them are fucking lethal, basically trapping the cyclist in the shittiest part of the road while giving drivers the impression that they can pass as close as they like. Want to avoid that wheel-breaking pothole? No. Stay in your shit-filled cratered lane and take your chances or you will be taken out by that car zooming past 3 inches from your elbow.
Taking the lane is also encouraged in the Highway Code when it would be dangerous to let a car overtake.
Probably strikes a nerve with some people.

I’ll save you a click - yeah, it’s just as bad as it sounds. They want to end no-fault divorces and increase the birth rate. So women as livestock, owned by their husband.
