If you do go there and report back, they’ll tell you that all the people you see are actors (like North Korea) or that they’re the upper strata of society so not representative of the gajillions hidden away in prison camps or whatever they need to pivot to.
I imagine a lot of this would be counteracted by staying up late playing these games, since lack of sleep significantly reduces your lifespan over time. It’s secondary to the point of the video that playing games activates your brain, but they often come as a pair.
If anyone is checking it out, I recommend Arcane Chat for Android. It’s from one of Delta developers but it’s their own frontend. I use it on my phone and the regular Delta flatpak on my computer. Never any problems syncing.
Once again telling all my WoW homies with the itch to play TurtleWoW or some other private server. They’re releasing a new zone relatively soon and already have new dungeons. It’s actually Classic+.
I would say it’s more of an instant messenger replacement for something like Signal or WhatsApp. I migrated all my family to it from Signal. I mostly brought it up to mention that it really seems like the Matrix developers are bad at their jobs when other apps are out there that don’t have the UI and encryption problems Matrix has.
I’m not an engineer or programmer so I’m ignorant, but I use Delta Chat as a Whatsapp replacement and its 500x less friction than Matrix when it comes to usability but also security. Everything is encrypted by default and it leaks much less metadata. I don’t know what it is about their encryption implementation, but everything works in Delta, so I’m left to wonder what is their problem that they can’t get a handle on this and also implement basic features people have asked for for years? When they do put them in, they make boneheaded decisions like defaulting to your camera on for Video Calls and no option to change defaults for on/off. Zoom has been sitting right there to copy these things from. If Signal is encrypted in any meaningful capacity and not backdoored, it also doesn’t have any of the encryption issues Matrix users seem to run into.
The same thing happened when Unreal 4 came out. It really sucks for the earliest games released on it because devs will get better at using it and the engine will get fixed, but it’ll take forever and games will suck to play in the meantime.
I’ve been torrenting for about 20 years while living in the US and have never used a VPN while downloading. Not saying it’s necessarily a good idea, but unless you’re a major distributor yourself, I only ever got an ISP letter very early on for downloading obviously hot topics like Harry Potter (for the GBA lol) and Game of Thrones.
Without a setting in the app itself, I think you’d have to hook up the Docker container to something like Gluetun so that all traffic from that container is directed through the VPN. That’s how people usually set it up with torrents, but I’m not super familiar.
This is also my setup. I also have ShelfMark which provides a nice interface for people to download from Anna’s Archive and my private torrent trackers without actually logging into them or anything.
Without this, it’s easy enough to just plug the Kobo on and dropping books into the Kobo folder too. That’s how you have to do it with PDFs, since Kobo sync doesn’t support them.

Can you not make your own? I don’t use WhatsApp, but a lot of other stuff like Delta Chat and Matrix clients let you just import any images as a ‘sticker pack’. I once tried to import all the Hexbear emojis at once (like 2000) and crashed everything when I tried to open the menu lol. But they’re all here.

At the very least, use a client like Vesktop (idk any mobile clients, half of them are dead or don’t work). They remove a lot of telemetry. So you’re giving away a lot less if you don’t type easily traceable stuff and it can no longer track your activity outside the Discord window.

Literally all he had to do. Delete the meows, say he wasn’t aware of their views, and disavow. Despite what people say, people aren’t always cancelled for their initial action, but for doubling down in a ridiculous way. All it takes is swift corrective action and a genuine, even short, apology.

It really depends on the language. For Chinese, there’s HelloChinese and other apps that are significantly better and don’t use AI to develop their lessons. They do sometimes use them for silly example art.
