Definitely a film that makes you think. Cinematography among the best I've ever seen, but at the same time I think that most of the scenes lingered too long. It is one thing to pause for gravity and emphasis, it's another to be sitting at a crossroads, not moving and just staring at what is basically a slightly moving picture in a film. I'm just about always in the mood for this movie. All of the characters are endearing and it has some homey scenes for me. I definitely can't say it is a philosophical western in any way and it definitely only has good graces because of the entertainment value gained from the charm. I guess this is a good example of how presence in a film can make up for the lack of much to say with the plot. You gotta wonder how big the tab was for Dude ruining that much tobacco, I'm guessing even in the Wild West that wasn't cheap.

I was wrong, Shawn Levy is capable of making a good movie! That being said this is barely even a movie (so I was still partially right); it’s a video game. It feels like this modern generation is afraid of old people having sex or being viewed sexually. The film couldn't even use real old people for its elderly homicidal couple. This film is just boring, hamfisted, obnoxious, and also trash. I'm gonna be having fun as an 80 year-old man being rushed to the hospital for enjoying my wife's sags and wrinkles, and I'm gonna be proud of that.
