While The Princess And The Frog isn't technically Disney's last 2D animated film (only second-last), it's considered the last in a long line of movies dating back to Snow White, Cinderella and more: the traditonal, 2D, musical Disney princess movie.

Despite this, the film still does more than enough to stand out on its own merits.

Before I looked into them more closely, I often got Treasure Planet and Atlantis: The Lost Empire confused mentally, and it's not hard to see why.

Both are experimental, early 2000s Disney animated movies, both blend 2D and 3D animation in an appealing but dated manner, both ultimately failed to become that successful, and both are regarded as hidden gems today.

I caught a third of The Grand Budapest Hotel in the mid-2010s, but sadly never got to fully experience the film until 2026... and oh my god... I cannot believe what I was missing.
