i had a friend recommend this to me after i raved about how much i loved mickey 17, but moon took the concept of clones for labor, the ethics of corporations and overwhelming loneliness and executed it in a way that lingers in your mind long after you finish it. sam rockwell’s performance is vulnerable and compelling, i loved GERTY, even if kevin spacey’s voice took me out of the illusion more than once.
this film is simultaneously bleak and uplifting, truly a masterpiece
